    GSO Laborer: Major Duties and Responsibilities Warehouse Operations and Material Handling Unloads incoming supplies, office and household furniture, and equipment. Opens packing boxes and storage crates and breaks down palletized loads. Moves supplies to designated storage areas using forklifts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment. Storage, Safety, and Inventory Support Assists in inspecting storage areas to ensure supplies are properly stored in designated locations and that safety and fire regulations are met. Maintains cleanliness and orderly arrangement of warehouse and storage areas. Assists with physical inventories and stock verification. Helps prepare documentation reflecting the movement of property and supplies and notifies the supervisor of damaged items discovered upon receipt or during removal from residences or offices. Residential, Property, and Event Support Assists in preparing residences for occupancy, including setting up and arranging furniture, furnishings, and appliances. Supports welcome kit maintenance and storage. Assists with property disposal sales under supervisory guidance. Sets up and dismantles tents, tables, chairs, tableware, and related equipment for official Embassy and residential events. Specialized Skill and Other Work Requirements Driving Official Vehicles. Must be able to drive small cargo trucks to move property. A commercial driver's license (CDL) is not required, but experience with driving larger vehicles is preferred. Lifting Heavy Objects. will be required to lift the following weight limits by category: Up to 50 lbs. (23 kg)- individually Up to 75 lbs. (34 kg) -with assistance or equipment 100 lbs.+ -team lift or mechanical aid (forklift, dolly, pallet jack) Forklifts . Per the duties noted above, must have at least 3 months of experience driving and using forklifts to support warehouse and material movement duties. Must be certified in operating Class III forklifts. Class III: Electric motor hand trucks or hand/rider trucks Note : This position description does not state or imply that these are the only duties to be performed. * A Top Secret clearance is required. * Must be a U.S. Citizen.
