    Summit Human Capital Federal is seeking a highly motivated Operations Watch Specialist to support a federal program located on-site at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. The required shift for this opportunity is Tuesday through Saturday, 1400-2230. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: Required: • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in a network operations center or monitoring role • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (must be verified) with active Security+ CE or DoD 8570 IAT II equivalent certification
    • Must be able to work shift: Tuesday through Saturday, 1400-2230 • Proficient in SCOM, SolarWinds, Remedy, and ServiceNow
    • Knowledge of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, routing
    • Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, and general system administration
    • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and incident resolution skills Responsibilities: • Monitor enterprise networks using System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and SolarWinds to detect performance issues, anomalies, and potential outages.
    • Proactively identify, assess, and escalate incidents by generating and routing tickets through Remedy (internal) and ServiceNow (enterprise).
    • Analyze alerts and determine the operational impact, ensuring issues are directed to the appropriate resolution teams quickly.
    • Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and communications in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment.
    • Collaborate with technical support teams to troubleshoot and resolve network, server, and systems issues.
    • Recommend improvements to monitoring processes and tools to enhance efficiency and incident response.
    • Stay up to date with network technologies and best practices for performance monitoring and security.
