VI is a team of multilingual investigators and analysts who conduct deep‑dive investigative due diligence research utilizing public records and human source intelligence. We are seeking an experienced investigative professional to conduct enhanced due diligence in the U.S. and internationally for our financial, law firm, and corporate clients.We are currently prioritizing investigators who have professional proficiency in Portuguese, or are Brazil SMEs. Candidates with experience conducting investigative research in Korean, Vietnamese, Swedish, Turkish, or Malay are preferred.Though this position is 100% remote, candidates are required to work in Romania.What you'll doAssociates are responsible for leading and managing multiple assignments from start to finish, conducting extensive Internet, database, and media research into companies and individuals to provide our clients with an accurate assessment of the overall reputation of a subject company and its principals.Conduct in-depth research in English and other local languages, regarding companies and individuals using public record databases, commercial and proprietary databases, media sources, the internet, and human intelligence.Analyze research, organize findings and synthesize relevant information; integrate human intelligence findings with public records information to create a seamless narrative.Write well structured, logical and objective reports regarding assessments on the status, legitimacy, general background, and overall reputation of a company and its principals with minimal edits required.This role will initially be dedicated 100% to research and report writing with opportunities to participate in quality assurance and research resource management 20% of the time.Qualifications and Education Requirements1-3 years of professional due diligence industry work experience with extensive experience in U.S. and international public records research is required to be considered.Undergraduate or graduate degree in International Relations/Affairs, Political Science, Regional Studies, Journalism, Criminal Justice, Law, Business or other related areas of study.Professional fluency in English and professional proficiency in a foreign language preferred – currently looking for candidates with experience conducting investigative research in Korean, Vietnamese, Swedish, Turkish, or Malay.Ability to quickly and effectively summarize information from multiple sources into concise analytical assessments; while evaluating sources against each other to provide information from the best evidence.Research tenacity and superb attention to detail.Exceptional critical thinking skills and an investigative mindset.Experience with using U.S. investigative databases and exploiting public record resources.Proven experience identifying adverse and risk‑relevant information.Excellent writing and editing skills.Vcheck Global is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
