    divh2Security Corporal/h2pSecurity Corporals are ordinarily assigned to supervise the various shifts but may be assigned additional duties by the Director./ph3How You Will Create the Extraordinary/h3ulliEfficiently manages personnel and resources ensuring that all Policies and Procedures are followed completely./liliEnsures all reports and correspondence are properly completed in a timely manner throughout the Department./liliAnswers telephones using the proper telephone etiquette and dispatches to the appropriate departments./liliControls responding forces and handles emergencies using the proper method, while simultaneously using the correct safety procedures./liliSets standards, trains and evaluates subordinates in a consistent and tactful manner./liliPerforms all duties of a Security Officer as needed./liliDetermines personnel requirements on a daily basis to accommodate property peak hours./liliSupervises entire Security staff assigned to shift./liliHolds roll call and make assignments at the beginning of shift./liliContinually evaluates subordinates for alertness, appearance and proper performance of duties. Checks all reports for accuracy and completeness./liliReports all unsafe conditions which have been identified to the Director./liliBriefs the Director on all matters that should be called to the Directors attention./liliBriefs the Director on all incidents and any pertinent information occurring on the previous shift. Supervises and conducts on the job training for all new Officers assigned to their shift./liliResponds to all fire alarms and other emergencies within the property./liliRenders assistance to Executives and Supervisors./liliSchedules personnel for special events./liliSchedules vacations and any replacements that are needed./liliVerifies and approves all trespass warnings and detentions./liliInvestigates complaints about Security from guests, Department heads, etc.Disciplines subordinates when necessary./liliEnsures chain of command is followed, as it relates to personnel grievances or problems./liliEnsures that all monetary transactions handled by Security Personnel are within State Gaming Regulations./liliAny and all duties and tasks delegated by the Director of Security./li/ulh3What You Will Need/h3ulliHigh school graduate or equivalent is required/liliMust be 21 years of age or older./liliMinimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred./lili1-2 years Guest Safety experience or related casino experience required./liliPrefer individual with two years police, military police, or casino security experience/liliPrior experience is a position with direct guest contact is preferred./liliAbility to manage several tasks at once/liliMust possess good oral and written communication skills along with a good working knowledge of basic computer programs/liliMust be able to obtain and possess a Nevada Gaming Card, an Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), First Aid CPR certifications, and have a current and valid Nevada Drivers License./liliMust be able to work any day of the week and any shift/liliMust present a well groomed appearance./liliMust undergo eight (8) hours of ASP (baton) training/liliMust be able to prepare effective written reports/liliMust be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team/liliMust be able to foster teamwork and a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks./li/ulpAdditional Requirements/pulliMust be able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat in excess of 115 degrees, or cold as low as 10 degrees./liliMust be able to physically restrain individuals when a condition of arrest exists./liliMust be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations, and be able to make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues./liliMust be able to work independently./liliMust be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs./liliMust be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Must be able to push or pull up to 150 pounds./liliMust be able to see and, also, remember the specific details of incidents and persons.
