    We are seeking a Cisco Network Technician to assist a Lead Engineer with the installation and deployment of network infrastructure equipment. This role will involve providing hands-on technical support throughout the installation process, including equipment setup, cabling, labeling, and basic Cisco device configuration activities. The technician will work directly alongside the Lead Engineer to support the successful implementation of the project while ensuring all hardware is properly installed and organized according to project standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist with racking and stacking network equipment
    Perform patch cabling and cable management
    Label network equipment and cabling accurately
    Apply and verify Cisco device configurations as directed by the Lead Engineer
    Navigate Cisco interfaces to review device status, save configurations, and perform basic troubleshooting
    Support onsite installation activities and maintain organized documentation throughout the deployment process
    Coordinate closely with the Lead Engineer to ensure installation tasks are completed efficiently and accurately Required Qualifications: Working knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and interfaces
    Familiarity with router and switch configuration concepts
    Ability to modify, save, and verify Cisco configurations
    Understanding of basic networking principles consistent with a CCNA-level skillset
    Experience with physical network installations and structured cabling practices preferred This role is intended to support the Lead Engineer during deployment activities. Final responsibility for configuration design, validation, and operational performance of the network solution will remain with the Lead Engineer. Compensation & Deployment Details: Locations: Eielson AFB and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska
    Project Duration: 2 weeks
    Project Dates: 7/13 – 7/24
    Total Compensation: $4,500 + per diem
    All travel, lodging, and per diem expenses will be fully covered.
