Locums, Inc. is seeking Internal Medicine Physicians/Family Practice Doctors in Georgia for positions statewide with the Georgia Dept. of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). The positions are for long-term placement and short-term coverage in a wide range of facilities. Georgia state licenses are required. About the Opportunity:- 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week. Evening overtime rarely needed. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call on rotating schedule- Period of Performance is current and on-going- Providers will participate in the DHBDD Treatment Teams with nurses, physicians, dieticians, social workers and others to give patients compassionate and comprehensive life improvement services- Providers will evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans; dictate admission and discharge reports, and assist the preparation of examining physician forensics reports for Court or Commitment cases- Locations around the state are: Decatur, Columbus, Savannah and Augusta- Per Diem for lodging and travel will be provided for travel over 50 milesSuccessful Candidates will need:- Current Vaccination/Immunization documentation- Active and unrestricted Georgia State license- Active and unrestricted DEA- Active BLS certification- Experience with the developmentally disabled preferred -
