Job Title: Inpatient Psychiatrist (Permanent Position) Location: Georgetown, Delaware Position Overview: SUN Behavioral Health Delaware is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team in historic Georgetown, DE. This full-time, permanent role offers a weekday schedule with no call or weekend commitments, providing an excellent work-life balance while delivering essential psychiatric care in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric services in a 99-bed facility, supporting a diverse patient population. Manage an average of 18 patients daily, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and stabilization of various mental health conditions. Conduct individual and group therapy as needed, with proficiency in handling medication management, including pharmacotherapy and involuntary commitments. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of advanced practice providers, psychologists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain thorough documentation within Wellsky Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Participate in weekly phone on-call rotations, with a focus on maintaining high-quality patient care and safety. Support the treatment of patients with diverse disorders, including anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, developmental conditions, psychosis, substance use disorders, and trauma-related disorders. Candidate Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. DEA certification required. Must have familiarity with involuntary commitment procedures and psychopharmacology. Prior inpatient psychiatric experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
