Seeking BE/BC Orthopedic Surgeon for upper Michigan! Well established orthopedic service line, including robotics, with outpatient clinic located on campus of the Medical Center. EPIC EMR for both inpatient and outpatient work. Large demand for services with a supportive team of colleagues and staff, both locally and within system. Require surgeons who will do general bread and butter orthopedic work with ability to create niche work depending on ones interests and training. Surgeons with spine, hand and trauma fellowships have previously been part of our team. Traditional office hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 1:3 call requirement General orthopedic surgery. Ability to create niche work if desired. Compensation & Benefits: CME Allowance Paid Time Off (vacation, sick, CME, personal day) Health, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term disability Professional Liability with tail coverage Relocation Allowance Retirement: 403 (b) with Employer Contribution and 457 (b) tax deferred plans The Community: This is a diverse waterfront community with a wealth of things to do and see. We are second-most populated city in the Upper Peninsula after Marquette. Located at the northeastern edge of the Upper Peninsula, it is separated by the St. Marys River from the much-larger city of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. We offer year-round recreational activities, historical sites, the world-famous Soo Locks, the swinging railroad bridge, Tahquamenon Falls, lighthouses, and more. It is located right on I-75 and is easily accessed from lower Michigan. Drive times from other cities include: Detroit 4.5 hours, Lansing 4 hours, Grand Rapids 4.5 hours, Midland 3 hours, Traverse City 3 hours.
