    Dispatcher (Phoenix, AZ)

    The Dispatcher oversees the scheduling, staging, tracking, and reporting of the Division's daily activity and coordinates this activity with customers and Division employees. This position assists with getting work crews, equipment, and materials to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications or needs. The Dispatcher also completes several administrative tasks for the Division.

    Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland's Core Values at the forefront. Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures. Schedule and assign work crews, vehicles, and equipment for projects daily. Coordinate operations between customers and departments. Receive and prepare work orders. Order materials and/or subcontractors to perform/complete jobs. Monitor job progress and assist with maintaining production schedule. Relay completion dates to Accounting and Sales. Maintain written logs, files, and computer documentation regarding projects. Relay work orders, messages, and information to, or from, work crews and supervisors. Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems and requests. Act as liaison between own division/supervisor and others, such as other departments, external contacts, clients, etc. Handle questions and complaints from customers and/or employees. May perform basic administrative and clerical functions, which could include filing, copying, binding reports, simple typing, etc. Assist with new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation. Assist with Division training. Act as the point of contact for Division employees. Any and all other duties assigned.     This position is considered a safety-sensitive position and is subject to the company's drug and alcohol policy, as well as all OHSA regulations. All employees must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Serves as a safety ambassador by complying with federal, state, and local laws, as well as Company safety policy, enforces safe work practices, and proactively identifies and remedies worksite hazards.

    This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc. May be required to work on a project site and if so, would be exposed to all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures. Employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

    This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand. No travel required.

    Education and Work Experience High School Diploma or GED required. One (1) to three (3) years industry related experience preferred. Proficient at Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Strong computer, written and oral skills required. Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations. Strong critical thinking skills. Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.
