Job Details

Schedule:

• Thursday – Sunday
• 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Full-Time Unarmed Position
• Start Date: Onsite by 05/28/2026

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Position Summary:

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and regulatory compliance of the premises, staff, clients, and products. This role includes monitoring entrances and exits, conducting patrols, deterring theft or unauthorized access, and responding to incidents in accordance with company policy and applicable state cannabis regulations. Officers must maintain a high standard of professionalism, discretion, and customer service in a retail healthcare environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide a visible deterrent at entrances and other high-risk areas
• Monitor and control access to the facility
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the premises
• Observe and report suspicious activity or security threats
• Prevent and respond to theft, trespassing, loitering, or disorderly conduct
• Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access control systems
• Conduct bag checks and ID verification as required by site policy
• Escort staff during cash handling or closing procedures
• Complete Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports accurately and professionally
• Enforce company policies and state regulations consistently

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Active BSIS Guard Card required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior security experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must pass background screening and comply with company policies

Preferred Skills:

• De-escalation and conflict resolution
• Professionalism and situational awareness
• Familiarity with surveillance and access control systems
• Customer service mindset while maintaining authority
