Summary
Responds to complaints and/or requests from the public to pick up stray animals or other animals and transports them to the Animal Care and Control shelter. Responsible for the proper handling of a variety of animals some of which may be injured and/or aggressive. Assists Animal Control Officers with capture and transport of impounds; updates computer records regarding the impounded animals; operates the Division's Stray Shuttle animal transport van and ensures that the vehicle's interior cages are maintained through proper cleaning and disinfecting.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) months of experience working with animals in a veterinary office, kennel, animal shelter or similar facility.CREATE USER PROFILE in PBC Online Application System at www.pbcgov.jobs .
