    Wildland Firefighter (Crew Coordinator)

    As a Wildland Firefighter (Crew Coordinator) your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

    • Serves as an expert representative on coordinating groups and recommends resource allocations to meet incident requests and Bureau requirements.
    • Serve as a senior technical authority for wildland fire and aviation management, responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating Bureau-wide and interagency fire management programs.
    • Advises leadership and senior staff on fire management policy and implementation strategies to achieve long term land management objectives.
    • Assesses constantly changing hazards and environmental conditions of high safety risk jobs and widespread geographic dispersion of operations.
    • Collaborates closely with interagency and intra-agency cooperators to develop, refine, and present mutually agreed-upon wildland fire and aviation management policy and standards.
    • Develops long-range strategic plans, and provides leadership, guidance, and coordination to ensure efficient and effective implementation.
