    Description

    The CST Trainer supports security operations within secure environments by overseeing training, compliance, and personnel qualification programs across operational and construction-phase facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring personnel consistently meet Customer and U.S. Government requirements related to training, licensing, certifications, and operational performance. The CST Trainer develops and administers structured training initiatives, conducts field evaluations, and provides ongoing oversight to maintain operational readiness, compliance, and audit preparedness. The role requires close coordination with Customer representatives, site leadership, and internal management to ensure high standards of security performance and program execution.

    Responsibilities
    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) and Site Security Manager (SSM) duties associated with secure construction environments.
    • Possess and maintain expert-level knowledge of ICD 705 standards and requirements governing the construction and accreditation of secure facilities.
    • Coordinate, develop, and deliver initial, recurring, sustainment, and refresher training programs for personnel supporting security operations.
    • Ensure personnel compliance with Customer policies, contractual requirements, standard operating procedures, and approved training curricula.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to personnel training, certifications, licensing, qualifications, and compliance status.
    • Conduct field evaluations and observe on-the-job training (OJT) activities to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas requiring corrective or remedial training.
    • Support internal and external audits, inspections, assessments, and compliance reviews associated with training and operational readiness programs.
    • Travel regularly to assigned locations to evaluate service delivery, conduct training, assess personnel performance, and assist with operational issue resolution.
    • Safeguard classified, sensitive, and proprietary information in accordance with Customer and U.S. Government security requirements.
    • Provide routine program updates, training metrics, and compliance status reports to Customer representatives and internal leadership.
    • Support continuity of operations initiatives and assist with additional program requirements as needed to ensure uninterrupted mission support.
    Requirements

    Required Qualifications
    • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly required
      Full Scope Polygraph preferred
    • Experience as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST), CST Trainer, Site Security Manager (SSM), or in a closely related security training or secure construction role
    • Knowledge of ICD 705 requirements, secure facility construction protocols, and security operations in regulated environments
    • Experience delivering classroom, field, on-the-job, refresher, or compliance-based training programs
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to employees, leadership, and Customer representatives
    • Experience maintaining training records, certifications, qualifications, compliance documentation, and audit-ready program files
    • Ability to conduct field evaluations, coaching sessions, and remedial instruction based on operational performance needs
    • Ability to work collaboratively with Customer representatives, site leadership, and internal management teams
    • Ability to travel to assigned locations as needed to support training and operational readiness
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience supporting government services, classified facility operations, or other mission-critical environments
    • Familiarity with training compliance metrics, workforce readiness reporting, and personnel qualification tracking
    • Prior experience supporting security, compliance, or training functions in a high-accountability environment
