Position Overview
As a Dispatch Specialist, you are the vital link between our customers, drivers, and operations. Your quick thinking and attention to detail ensure smooth scheduling, efficient delivery, and outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule drivers for timely pick-ups and deliveries
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and requests
- Monitor transportation routes and proactively resolve logistical challenges
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and service
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and schedules
- Support process improvements and help drive operational excellence
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant college coursework is a plus
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or customer service preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfort with technology and dispatch management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Work Requirements- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Capable of working in a fast-paced office environment
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer/phone throughout the shift
