    Job Title: Dispatcher (On-Site) Location: Texas Employment Type: Full-Time Reports to: Dispatch Manager

    Company Overview: Our client, a leading company in the sand and aggregate industry, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher (ON-SITE) to join their team. The company is committed to providing top-tier services, and the Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

    Job Summary: The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the trucking team, ensuring that all job orders are covered and delivered on time. This role involves assigning routes, managing schedules, communicating with drivers, and handling customer inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and experience in logistics or a related field.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions and support throughout their shifts.
    • Schedule Management: Monitor and manage driver schedules, making real-time adjustments as necessary to accommodate delays, equipment issues, or other operational challenges.
    • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and service requests, coordinating with drivers and operations staff to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of driver activities, service completions, and any incidents that occur during the day.
    • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any operational challenges that arise during the shift, including rerouting drivers, coordinating with maintenance for vehicle repairs, and communicating with customers about service delays.
    • Compliance: Ensure all drivers adhere to safety regulations and company policies, reporting any violations or issues to the Operations Manager.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Manager and other team members to continuously improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    Qualifications:
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field, within the sand and aggregate industry.
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in logistics or dispatching is a plus.
    Skills:
      • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
      • Proficient in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant tools.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
      • Knowledge of local geography and traffic patterns is beneficial.
      • Bilingual in Spanish
    Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license is required.
