    ECS Weapons-based Instructor I (JET)

    Rigid Tactical is seeking highly skilled and qualified ECS Weapons-based Instructor I (JET) personnel to lead Judgment-based Engagement Training for expeditionary forces. We are looking for tactical experts who can guide students through the legal andtactical complexities of use-of-force decision-making. The successful candidate will leverage advanced simulation technology and force-on-force scenarios to ensure Navy personnel are prepared to make split-second, high-stakes decisions in combat environments. Employment is contingent upon contract award.

    Position Details:

    • Clearance: Secret eligibility
    • Location: Gulfport, MS.
    • Hourly Salary: $29.57 (H&W $5.09) = $34.66 Hourly // $72,092.80

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years documented tactical military operational experience encompassing: Basic Tactical Communications, Convoy Operations, Small Arms, Tactical Shooting (including use-of-force/JET-type training), C-IED, Mission Planning, Basic Tactical Movement, Basic CBRNE Procedures, and Shoot/Don't Shoot Decision Making.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as an instructor delivering formal training.
    • Completed Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC, A-012-0077) or military/academic equivalent.
    • Must achieve and maintain Sharpshooter qualification on M18 Service Pistol and M4 Carbine every 180 days.
    • Completed approved Small Arms Instructor Course per OPNAVINST 3591.1 paragraph 11.
    • Line Coach (Small Arms): Must complete PQS per NAVEDTRA 43466 within 90 days of reporting.
    • Must be among the 8 minimum JET-qualified instructors (CUIT-certified) within 90 days of contract start.
    • U.S. Citizenship required (per DoD Manual 5200.02).
    • Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated NACLC background investigation and CAC.
    • Valid driver's license; CDL required for 30 of 45 weapons instructors (FMCSA ELDT-compliant).
    • Ability to pass medical and psychological screening per OPNAVINST 1500.75 and NETCINST 1500.13.
    • Must pass AA&E Screening (OPNAV 5530/1) within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter.
    • Drug-free: Must pass pre-employment urinalysis at a DHHS-certified lab (renewed every 3 years).
    • Current Basic First Aid and CPR certification (classroom-based; CBT alone does not satisfy).
    • Full compliance with the Lautenberg Amendment.
    • Physical Requirements: Fitness sufficient to perform all training evolutions including weapons qualification; free of fear of heights; able to ascend ladders and traverse narrow passageways.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • JET Instruction:
    • Deliver Combat Mindset/Use of Force instruction (2.0 class hours).
    • Deliver JET Judgment-based Decision Making classroom and practical application (10.5 hours including 6.25 lab hours on FATS and 4.0 field exercise hours with Simunitions marking rounds).
    • Facilitate Combat Mindset Briefs (0.75 hrs); integrate psycho-physiological use-of-force principles.
    • Operate FATS (Firearms Training Simulator) at 67:16 student-to-instructor ratio.
    • Conduct Simiunitions field exercise (Force on Force) at 67:9 student-to-instructor ratio.
    • Deliver CBRNE, C-IED, Convoy Operations, or Tactical Communications instruction if cross-trained (minimum counts of 6 for CBRNE/C-IED/Comms and 12 for Convoy required within 90 days).
    • Conduct Land Navigation instruction (day and night) if assigned to Phase III (67:9 ratio).
    • Serve as Armed Sentry Representative for weapons transport to/from SIM training area.
    • Transport students in 44/36-passenger Government buses if CDL-certified (8 drivers required for Phase IV).
    • Maintain student supervision during all training evolutions; enforce Training Time Out (TTO) and all safety procedures.
    • Complete CUIT certification for all assigned lesson topics prior to independent instruction.
    • Re-qualify on M18 and M4 at Sharpshooter standards every 180 days.
    • Maintain all ITJ certifications (First Aid, CPR, Drug Screen, etc.) in current status.
