Security Officer The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a professional, dependable, and service-oriented
Security Officer to join our Security team. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, Riders, exhibitors, vendors, and property throughout the resort. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while protecting people, assets, and facilities.
As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the World Equestrian Center's commitment to
Quality, Class, and Distinction by promoting a safe, welcoming, and secure environment across the property.
Primary Responsibilities:- Patrol resort facilities, grounds, parking areas, and event venues to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor and operate video management, surveillance, and access control systems.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, incidents, alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and guest service requests.
- Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, maintenance requests, and other required documentation.
- Investigate and document incidents, accidents, safety concerns, and policy violations.
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and security protocols while maintaining a professional and guest-focused approach.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests, Riders, exhibitors, vendors, and team members with questions, directions, and concerns.
- Control access to restricted areas and monitor credentials as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, emergency responders, and local law enforcement agencies when appropriate.
- Operate company vehicles safely while conducting patrols and responding to calls for service.
- Identify potential safety hazards and security risks and report concerns to leadership.
- Support special events, equestrian competitions, concerts, and other large-scale resort activities as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the World Equestrian Center.
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.

- Ability to utilize computer systems, surveillance technology, and security software.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous security, law enforcement, military, hospitality security, or related experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and operate video management and access control systems.
- Experience with CCTV, surveillance systems, and access control platforms preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional appearance, sound judgment, and a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong integrity, dependability, and work ethic.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
