    Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO)

    We have specialized in marine and heavy construction, deep pile foundations, bridge construction and over water and railway, successfully completing projects East of the Rockies to the Atlantic. We proudly performs a high percentage of projects with our own forces and specialty equipment. With continued growth our operation is seeking a full-time Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO).

    Position Summary: Conduct safety orientation, supervise project safety, incident investigation, and ensure compliance with company safety program standards

    Site Safety Health Officer Responsibilities:
    • Attend pre-work meetings and produce job-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) in accordance with company's Safety & Health Program
    • Work as member of the project team to ensure implementation and continuous monitoring and enforcement of the provisions of the project APP and AHAs
    • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable OSHA requirements and regulations, and other applicable regulations
    • Conduct daily tailgate safety briefings
    • Conduct regular site inspections, recording all violations and noting what remediation needs to occur to keep the project moving safely
    • Prepare comprehensive reports of safety inspections and complete all safety related documentation and paperwork
    • Coordinate response to on-site emergencies, and interface with off-site and on-site emergency response entities
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Site Safety Health Officer Qualifications:
    • 5+ years experience as a heavy construction SSHO, marine construction preferred
    • First Aid & CPR Certified
    • EM 385-1-1 40-hour Certified Site Safety & Health Course
    • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification
    • Experience on USACE Lock and Dam infrastructure projects
    • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license, pass screening, and background check
    Job Type: Full-time

    Base Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

    Benefits
    • Health Insurance (90% employee, 70% dependent)
    • Bonus up to +20% of salary
    • 401(k) + 6% match
    • Per diem
    • Travel and lodging
