Key Responsibilities
Receive and document after-hours call-offs from security officers
Identify and secure shift coverage using approved call lists and escalation procedures
Communicate professionally with officers and department leadership, including during difficult or emotional conversations
Accurately document actions taken, decisions made, and outcomes for review and learning purposes
Monitor ongoing coverage needs and follow instructions independently with minimal supervision
Maintain focus and alertness throughout overnight shifts while working alone
What to Expect
This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable with overnight work, can handle conflict professionally, and remains composed under pressure.
Frequent calls to officers and leaders during early morning hours
Occasional frustration or pushback from individuals being contacted for coverage
Working independently with minimal immediate support
Long periods of quiet time followed by high-pressure situations requiring quick problem-solving
Required Qualifications
Proven experience working graveyard or overnight shifts
Strong emotional resilience and “thick skin”
Background in roles such as dispatching, call centers, customer service, claims handling, or similar high-volume, high-emotion environments
Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills
Strong computer proficiency (email, scheduling systems, databases, and documentation tools)
Ability to think independently, follow instructions, and problem-solve without direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Prior dispatch or operations experience
Experience handling upset, stressed, or emotional individuals professionally
Ability to clearly explain and justify actions taken during a shift
