Job Summary
The ACC Quality Lead Physician provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure high-quality, consistent, and safe clinical care across all Advanced Care Centers. The role drives systemwide quality improvement by developing standardized workflows, optimizing clinical pathways, and leveraging data to inform practice and operational decisions. The Quality Lead partners closely with service lines, operational leaders, and frontline clinicians to enhance performance, support provider development, and advance organizational quality goals. This position serves as a clinical resource, change agent, and subject-matter expert to promote excellence in care delivery and alignment with regional strategy
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Strategic Direction
• 1. Quality Strategy & Clinical Standardization Leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of standardized clinical workflows, care pathways, and evidence-based practices across all ACC sites. Ensures alignment with regional quality priorities and organizational goals, including Medicare 5-Star performance.
• 2. Data-Driven Performance Improvement Reviews, interprets, and disseminates ACC quality and operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Partners with analytics teams to refine metrics, monitor outcomes, and guide targeted interventions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• 3. Provider Engagement, Education & Communication Communicates clinical updates, quality initiatives, and operational changes through structured weekly updates, monthly meetings, and direct coaching. Supports provider onboarding, ongoing competency development, and adherence to clinical standards for physicians, APPs, and pool providers.
• 4. Workflow Optimization & Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborates with PMG, HP partners, service lines, EMS, and other stakeholders to design and refine workflows that improve patient flow, safety, and care coordination. Serves as a liaison between ACC operations and clinical teams to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery.
• 5. Clinical Quality Oversight & Safety Culture Oversees quality-related processes such as chart review, high-risk medication stewardship, and opioid-safe prescribing practices. Promotes a culture of safety, encourages speak-up behaviors, and supports clinicians through real-time feedback and coaching.
• 6. Innovation, Technology Integration & EHR Optimization Identifies opportunities to integrate decision-support tools, streamline documentation, and enhance clinical efficiency through technology. Partners with informatics teams to implement and optimize EHR tools (e.g., decision aids, order sets, templates).
• 7. Leadership, Representation & Committee Participation Represents the ACC in regional and departmental committees, contributing clinical expertise and operational insight. Provides leadership on initiatives that advance quality, safety, and patient experience across the medical group.
• 8. Join committees as needed and Other duties as assigned by Service Line Chief
• 9. Address requests for callbacks and grievances as requested by HSM, member retention services, or other relevant stakeholders.

Job Qualifications *
Minimum Education (Indicate minimum education or degree required.)
• Licensed physician with the State of Georgia License-unrestricted
• Board Certified
• Federally issued DEA license
• Medical degree MD or DO or better
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications (Indicate minimum years of job experience, skills or abilities required for the job.)
• Minimal 2 years post residency training required/preferred
• Demonstrated collaborative/team-oriented work style.
