Job Position: Patrol Guard (Second Shift)
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: Overnight Shift Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8pm to 4am
Description: Our staffing firm is currently seeking a professional, dependable, and alert Night Shift Security Officer to support one of our valued hotel clients. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for hotel guests, staff, and property during overnight hours.
Position Overview:
The Security Officer will primarily be stationed outdoors in the hotel parking lot and will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence. In addition, the officer will conduct scheduled patrol rounds of the property every hour to ensure safety standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a strong, visible presence in the hotel parking lot to deter unwanted activity
Conduct hourly patrols of the hotel property, including exterior and interior common areas
Monitor for suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or disturbances
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, or emergencies
Document all patrols and incidents in detailed activity logs
Work closely with hotel management and local authorities when necessary
Ensure parking areas remain orderly and safe
Qualifications:
Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
Ability to work overnight hours and remain alert throughout the shift
Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods
Strong observational and communication skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Must pass background screening and drug screening
