    Petroleum Operations Dispatcher

    A Petroleum Operations Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the distribution and delivery of petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, and other fuels. This role ensures that products are aligned and dispatched properly and accurately from storagefacilities to various destinations, such as gas stations, bulk plants and other customer locations as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Scheduling and Logistics: Plan and schedule dispatches to ensure timely deliveries. This involves coordinating with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure optimal routes and schedules.
    2. Inventory Management: Track product levels and manage inventory to ensure an adequate supply of products for scheduled deliveries.
    3. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all dispatch and transportation activities comply with industry safety regulations and environmental standards. This includes adherence to relevant guidelines.
    4. Communication: Act as a liaison between drivers, terminal operators, and customers to resolve any issues or delays in delivery.
    5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including fuel quantities, delivery locations, and other pertinent information.
    6. Problem Solving: Quickly resolve issues related to delays, inventory discrepancies, or unexpected changes in demand to keep operations running smoothly.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in scheduling, inventory tracking, and documentation.
    • Knowledge of Safety Standards: Understanding hazardous materials handling and environmental regulations.
    • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple dispatches and routes.
    • Communication Skills: Effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams

    Requirements

    • Must be able to sit for long periods
    • Must be able to operate a computer efficiently for long periods
    • Must be able to lift at least 20+ pounds
    • Must have solid oral and written communication
