    WCR Surveillance Officer

    Observe Casino operations to ensure that operations are adhering to requirements of the compact and tribal gaming ordinance internal controls.

    Essential functions may include the following tasks: knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and does not comprehensively list all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.

    • Oversee the integrity of the gaming operations.
    • Safeguards tribal assets represented by the Casino enterprise.
    • Verifies jackpot payments.
    • Memorize camera locations associated with the casino floor.
    • Oversee opening, inventory, and removal of pull-tab boxes.
    • Reviews and investigates customer disputes.
    • Investigates Compact violations.
    • Makes recommendations and writes follow-up reports.
    • Safeguard the integrity of the gaming devices by regular inspections.
    • Witnesses' entry into gaming machines for maintenance.
    • Keeps up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and tribal ordinances, laws, and regulations governing gaming operations.
    • Works varied shifts and days.
    • Generate concise, thorough reports on investigative events.
    • Interacts professionally with employees via radio, telephone, and email.
    • Prepares investigative reports describing rule infractions, incidents and other non-routing events.
    • Maintains awareness of possible situations that could compromise the safety of Casino patrons and employees.
    • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
    • Must have knowledge of federal, state, and tribal ordinances, laws, and regulations governing gaming operations.
    • Must have knowledge of the regulations governing the rules and conduct of authorized games.
    • Must be skilled in utilizing a computer and related software.
    • Must possess oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be skilled in applying provisions of the Gaming Compact.
    • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments of the Tribal Regulatory Agency, We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort departments, vendors, other interested parties, and the public.
    • Must possess strong memorization and multitasking skills.
    • Must have fundamental knowledge of casino table games Blackjack, Roulette and Carnival games.
    • Must obtain and maintain a State/Tribal License (including extensive background check and fingerprinting).
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

    High school diploma or GED Certification

    Computer and related software knowledge.

    Three (3) years of investigative experience in a regulatory agency.

    Preference will be given to qualified applicants from federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
