    Badging Specialist

    Chenega Sentinel 360 is seeking a Badging Specialist to support visitor control and credentialing operations at a government facility in Albuquerque, NM. This role is responsible for issuing, controlling, and maintaining DOE security badges while ensuring compliance with federal identity, access, and security requirements.

    This position is contingent upon contract award.

    Responsibilities
    1. Process and issue permanent and temporary DOE security badges in accordance with site procedures
    2. Verify identity, clearance status, and access authorization prior to credential issuance
    3. Operate computerized badging and access control systems to encode and manage credentials
    4. Process classified and unclassified visit requests and maintain associated documentation
    5. Perform HSPD-12 badging functions, including identity verification and credential activation
    6. Account for, secure, recover, and destroy badges and badging materials as required
    7. Maintain accurate records and files related to badge issuance, visits, and access actions
    8. Provide courteous, professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors
    9. Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance
    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in administrative, security, visitor control, or credentialing/badging functions
    • Experience working with access control systems, visitor management systems, or identification/badging systems
    • Ability to work in a secure environment and properly handle sensitive and controlled information

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow established procedures

    • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
