Summary
Our facility is seeking a part time BE/BC OB/GYN to join an outstanding team that is looking for a great work environment. This position is with a hospital employed practice to join two other experienced OB/GYN physicians. The candidate must be trained in laparoscopy and have a desire to incorporate gynecology into their practice. The clinic is adjacent to the hospital and has lab and ultrasound services on-site, and allows for easy access to patients on the labor and delivery unit. The Family Birthing Center offers the very best in maternity and delivery care and has 24/7 anesthesia coverage. There are 11 LDRP rooms on the unit in addition to an operating room dedicated to C-Sections. We had 772 deliveries in 2018 and the hospital has Pediatric Hospitalist coverage 24/7 to attend all C-Sections and high-risk deliveries. The hospital has a Level 2 Intermediate Care Nursery and recent renovations to the nursery have doubled its size and added four beds, for a total of seven. Call coverage is 1:3.
The CommunityOur location is steeped in equestrian tradition, it is today renowned as the heart of hunt and wine country. Its residents are equestrians, winery lovers and outdoors enthusiasts. Residents are served by a thriving school system and three branch libraries. We are home to the Great Meadow events center, which hosts point-to-point races, horse shows and jumping competitions, as well as polo matches every weekend during the spring and summer. The Virginia Gold Cup (in May) and the International Gold Cup (in October) are prestigious steeplechase events that draw tens of thousands of visitors to the county. Two dozen wineries in the county provide an opportunity for visitors to relax and enjoy bucolic views and locally made wine. Most vineyards host wine-tastings and other events, and the Virginia Wine Festival is held in September. The area s rich Civil War history can be experienced through several different self-driven tours, guided tours, museums, and historical trail markers. Children and adults alike are drawn to the Flying Circus, which presents a wing-walking airshow every Sunday afternoon.
