Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Opportunity in Dayton, Ohio Location: Dayton, OH Position Details: Employment Type: Full-Time Position Type: Permanent Practice Type: Academic Neurosurgery Case Mix: 85% Spine, 15% Cranial (Elective case mix at surgeon's discretion) Job Description: Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon with fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery to join a well-established team. This position offers a balanced mix of clinical practice, academic involvement, and research opportunities with access to state-of-the-art technology. Practice Highlights: Robust employed referral network with strong primary care support Elective practice supported by dedicated APPs 1:7 call rotation with in-house APP coverage for OR, rounding, consults, and order entry Dedicated Neurosurgery call room with Neurointensivist support 24/7 Trauma, Hospitalist, and Intensivist Services for non-elective admissions Technology & Facilities: Varian TrueBeam at MVH 3T MRI Epic EMR system integrated across clinics and hospitals Stryker and Stealth Navigation, O-Arm, Mazor Robot 20-bed Neuro-ICU with 24-hour neurocritical care service Four O-Arms, six Stealth stations Two MRI suites 24/7 OR PA call teams Research & Academic Opportunities: Protected time for basic science, translational, and clinical research New Neurosurgery lab at Wright State University (15 minutes from MVH) Spine outcomes research opportunities Faculty appointment at Boonshoft School of Medicine Qualifications: MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery preferred Eligible for Ohio medical licensure Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive compensation package Academic appointment and research funding opportunities Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans Relocation assistance available Malpractice coverage with tail About Miami Valley Hospital: Largest healthcare provider in the Dayton area with 1,133 licensed beds Only Adult Level I Trauma Center in the region First High-Risk Maternity and Level III NICU in the same facility Only Adult Burn Center in the Dayton area Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 4 Epilepsy Center Partnership with Christ Hospital Health Network for advanced cardiovascular care -
