Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Manage an average of 10 patients per shift in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Clinical Duties: Provide general and trauma surgical care to pediatric patients aged 0-17 (trauma care limited to ages 0-15). Administrative Duties: Utilize the Cerner EMR system for all patient documentation and management. Rounding: Perform rounds on both inpatients and outpatients, ensuring continuous care. On-call Duties: Provide 24-hour call coverage with clinic hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Call starts at 7 AM and ends at 6:59 AM the following day. Requirements: Board Certification: Must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Surgery and Trauma. Licensure: Must hold an active medical license in the state of Florida. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required. Fellowship: Preferred but not mandatory. Experience: Prior experience in pediatric and trauma surgery is preferred.
