Summary
Location: New Hampshire (Inquire for specific location)Duration: Asap for 6-12 months. Option to extendReason for coverage: GrowthSchedule: Full time. Will consider 2 weeks/monthShift: Monday-Friday 8a-5p, one hour lunch from 12p-1p.Call: N/APatient volume: 13-16 patients per day avg.Scope: Provides office-based general neurology services to new and established patients (mostly adults and adolescents) including medication management, education and counseling of patients and families, ordering diagnostic tests, referral to related other specialties (e.g., cardiology, orthopedics, pain management, pulmonology, sleep medicine) locally, referral to subspecialty neurologists at tertiary care centers, and communication with PCPs. Partners with other members of neurology team (e.g., radiologist, EEG technologists, MAs and RNs, physical therapists).Skills to perform (without a technician) and interpret EMG's.Skills to interpret EEGsMost commonly diagnoses encountered are:MigraineMemory lossEssential tremorParkinsons diseaseCognitive impairmentDizzinessEpilepsyMultiple sclerosisPolyneuropathyHeadacheEMR: MeditechHospital: 25 Bed HospitalGroup/support: Full support staff.
