    We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide locum tenens coverage near Chester, South Carolina . This opportunity offers a chance to work in a high-acuity environment with a variety of cases and excellent support staff. Position Details: Schedule : Full-time coverage required. Options for 4x10-hour shifts or 3x12-hour shifts per week, Monday-Friday. Weekend call: One 12-hour shift every six weeks . 16 hours of paid orientation provided. Patient Population : Ages: 2 years to adults . Approximate case mix: 60% adults, 40% pediatrics. Procedures and Cases : Elective healthy pediatrics, NICU, complex orthopedic trauma, thoracic and vascular, neuro, spine, and obstetrics. Additional out-of-operating-room cases include GI, cath lab, MRI, and interventional radiology. No transplants or open-heart procedures. Facility and Support: Trauma Level : Level I Trauma Center experience preferred. Team Structure : ACT model with a 4:1 CRNA to anesthesiologist ratio . Daily Case Load : Approximately 100 cases/day. Support from nurse practitioners, RNs, anesthesiologists, and more than 40 CRNAs. State-of-the-art equipment: Glidescopes, Hemospheres, GE anesthesia machines, and Istats. Requirements: Licensure : Active South Carolina license required (not accepting IMLC). Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS mandatory. Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required; Level I Trauma Center experience preferred. Vaccines : Flu vaccine required by November 1, 2024.
