The Fire Watch plays an essential role in maintaining the safety and security of the facility through attentive monitoring and diligent documentation of fire safety records. Working fewer than 30 hours per week, the Fire Watch patrols the facility and active construction areas, ensures that all fire safety protocols are effectively followed, and maintains accurate, organized records in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. This is a temporary, part-time position well suited to a proactive, dependable individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to respond calmly and appropriately in emergency situations.
* High school diploma or equivalent.* Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and to patrol the facility throughout assigned shifts.
* Prior fire watch, security, or safety-related experience.* Familiarity with fire safety codes and documentation requirements.* Current CPR and First Aid certification.
* Strong observational skills and keen attention to detail.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to remain calm, composed, and decisive in emergency situations.* Knowledge of basic fire safety practices and procedures, or the ability to learn them quickly.* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accurate, organized records.* Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to maintaining a consistent presence during assigned shifts.
