    Worksite: NMRLC Cheatham Annex

    Travel: As required

    Status: Full-Time, Contingent Upon Contract Award

    Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain Government background investigation and CAC

    Job Summary:

    • The Hazardous Material Lead provides senior oversight, leadership, and technical direction for hazardous materials and hazardous waste operations to ensure regulatory compliance and mission readiness.
    • Duties and Responsibilities
    • Serve as the lead authority for hazardous materials and hazardous waste operations.
    • Manage the full lifecycle of hazardous materials including receipt, storage, inventory, transportation, and disposal.
    • Oversee hazardous waste determination, profiling, documentation, and disposal activities.
    • Direct shelf-life management and extension programs for hazardous materials.
    • Enforce quality assurance standards and corrective actions.
    • Supervise assigned hazardous materials personnel and ensure training compliance.
    • Coordinate inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
    • Ensure compliant shipment of dangerous goods.
    • Maintain automated hazardous material accountability systems.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.


    Required Qualifications and Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Experience:

    Minimum of 5 years of hazardous materials management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

    Specialized Experience: Expert knowledge of hazardous materials and hazardous waste regulatory requirements and lifecycle management.

    Certifications:

    OSHA HAZWOPER certification (29 CFR 1910.120).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    None specified.
