    DESCRIPTION

    The incumbent of this position will be required to monitor and process incoming request(s) from Background Screening Helpdesk, Adam Walsh, Out of State Child Protective Investigation, Out of State Employment in boxes; as well as completes fingerprint based criminal history analysis to determine permanent placement and process adoption inquires. This position will also assist with training, QA and a variety of data functions.

    The Florida Abuse Hotline operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Duties are performed under the general direction of the Call Center Managers and Crime Intelligence Supervisors of the Florida Abuse Hotline.

    • This Analyst position will be used to fill multiple position within the Crime Intelligence Unit.
    • This position involves the use of cutting-edge technology to generate and support Child & Vulnerable Adult Abuse Investigations.
    • It will give you the opportunity to network with professional intelligence technicians/analysts and investigators, exposure to analytic support role in the criminal investigations process. You will also have the opportunity to be CJIS certified and have training opportunities.
    • This is a golden opportunity to get your foot in the door in a competitive industry. Other agencies also prefer analyst candidates with CJIS certification and experience.
    • The hours for these positions are TBD.

      EXAMPLES OF WORK
    • Incumbent in this position will receive and maintain all necessary certifications required, including but not limited to CJIS certification.
    • Use various electronic sources to accurately and efficiently complete background history checks for investigative and placement purposes.
    • Electronically gather criminal history information from various sources for inclusion in Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) for use by field staff.
    • Provide telephone assistance to field staff.
    • Adhere to established call center scheduling parameters.
    • Maintain all required certifications.
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.

    "BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT: It is the policy of the Florida Department of Children and Families that any applicant being considered for employment must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment, an abuse check and also be screened in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, F.S., and if applicable, Chapter 408, F.S. No applicant may begin employment until the background investigation results are received, reviewed for any disqualifying offenses, and approved by the Agency. Background investigations shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for State and Federal criminal record checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and may include local criminal history checks through local law enforcement agencies. Also, employees are subject to background re-screening at least every five (5) years." Background checks will also include an Abuse Check.
