Summary
As a Sr. Designer at LJA Transportation, you will be responsible for providing drafting support for traffic engineering projects using CAD software and requires strong technical accuracy, attention to detail, and familiarity with Tx. DOT standards. A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE: Developing technical signal design plans that meet Tx. DOT requirements. Producing CAD deliverables for traffic signals, ITS, illumination, utilities, and related disciplines. Preparing elevation sheets, voltage drop calculations, and quantity summaries. Supporting engineers with design calculations and cost estimates. Collaborating with team members to solve problems and meet client needs. Produce high-quality CAD drawings for traffic signal design, ITS, illumination, signing, and pavement marking projects. Create and modify maps, plan and profile sheets, and CAD exhibits. Complete redline markups and work from sketches, notes, and verbal instructions. Maintain project schedules and provide progress updates.
