We are responsible for day-to-day security screening and access control of airport employees and other individuals passing through screening locations and various access points across the airport.Benefits:Free parkingFree uniformsCompany reimbursed Class D training and license/ license renewals401(k) with matching company contributionsHealth Insurance - exceeding ACA minimum standardsDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance PlanFlexible Spending AccountsPaid TrainingPaid Time OffEssential Functions:Responsible for identifying dangerous objects and preventing those objects from being transported through Screening Locations.Carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service.Use diverse, cutting edge electronic detection and imaging equipment.Perform metal detection searches, pat down searches, operation of x-ray machines, physical searches of property, and other identification review as needed.Additional security related duties to ensure safety to the traveling public.Minimum Requirements:Legally eligible to work in the United StatesMust be able to obtain Florida Class D Security LicenseHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.Must read, write and speak English proficientlyMust be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, education, and personal referencesMust possess valid state-issued Driver's License or a valid state-Issued I.D. cardMust be able to pass pre-employment/annual/random drug screeningsMust have reliable transportationMust be able to work and interact with the publicMust be able to work around the flexibility and changing of schedules. This includes being available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening, and overnight as required.Physical DemandsWork is normally performed in airport terminal buildings, outdoor locations, ramp areas, and near commercial aircraft where persons will beexposed to all types of weather .This position requires working outside in all types of weather conditions.There are no guarantees of hours.Covenant Aviation Security is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
