(SEI) is seeking an experienced Lead Security Systems Technician to support installation, service, maintenance, and project execution for federal government and commercial electronic security systems throughout the Florida Panhandle, based in Pensacola, Florida.Security Engineering is the oldest electronic security company in the Florida Panhandle and has been serving customers since 1975.We are pleased to provide this opportunity during our continued growth.ResponsibilitiesLead and/or self-perform installation and service activities for electronic security projects and maintenance contracts.Install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and commission access control systems (ACS), video surveillance systems (VSS), intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other related low‑voltage systems.Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, risers, and specifications.Lead and mentor other technicians in the field.Conduct system testing, commissioning, and customer training.Troubleshoot network‑connected security devices and software applications within server/client architectures, often in mission‑critical environments with limited access to manufacturer technical support or internet connectivity.Complete service documentation, closeout documentation, and daily reports accurately and professionally.Assist in site walkthroughs during pre‑bid site visits.Maintain a company vehicle, tools, inventory, and test equipment in accordance with company policies.Perform all work safely and in compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.Support occasional travel throughout the Southeast region with all expenses and per diem paid.The majority of the work to start will be in the Florida Panhandle, home nightly.Compensation and Benefits$30.00 – $37.00 per hour depending on experienceRelocation assistance available for qualified candidates.Company vehicleCompany phone and laptopCompany credit card for fuel and work‑related expensesPTOHealth Insurance: company pays 50% of base family planDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurance401(k) with company match –100% on first 3%, 50% on 4th and 5th percent contributions.Required Experience5+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise electronic security systems including ACS, VSS, and IDS platforms.Advanced experience with LenelS2 OnGuard with at minimum OnGuard Fundamentals/Associate level certification.Previous work in federal, military, and/or critical infrastructure environments.Ability to work independently and make field decisions with minimal supervision.Strong understanding of electronics theory, installation practices, and systematic troubleshooting.Ability to independently diagnose and resolve system issues in the field.Working knowledge of IP networking including switches, VLANs, PoE infrastructure, and IP addressing.Ability to lead projects and interface professionally with government and commercial customers.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations and other government facilities.Ability to work occasional after‑hours, overnight, or weekend activities during system cutovers or other events supporting mission requirements.Preferred Experience and QualificationsOnGuard Professional and Expert level certificationsHirsch Velocity and Velocity Vision certificationsAdditional experience and/or certifications with enterprise security platforms including Avigilon, DMP, i‑PRO Video Insight, and Milestone preferred.Experience in video analytics.Understanding of ICD 705, IC 705‑1, UL 2050, and government security construction requirements as it relates to electronic security.CSEIP, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or similar certifications.#J-18808-Ljbffr
