    Overview:

    Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking a dynamic and organized leader to lead our Public Safety team! This position is primarily focused on Environmental, Occupational, and Health Safety. This person will also have responsibility managing Security, Loss Prevention, and Parking Lot under the direction of the Public Safety Manager.

    Responsibilities:
    • Supervise the operation of all Public Safety Departments – Risk Management, First Aid, Security, Loss Prevention, and Parking Lot.
    • Assist with litigation claims: reporting, investigating and maintaining files on potential claims, active claims, and lawsuits against the Park. Liaise with Park's attorneys and insurance companies. Testify on the behalf of the company.
    • Interpret, implement and update the Safety Compliance Manual, Emergency Response Manual, First Aid Standard Operating Procedures, First Aid Patient Care Protocols, and support Corporate Safety and Health Standards.
    • Conduct accident and near-miss investigations to determine root cause of incidents. Develop remediation plans and ensure all recommendation are implemented timely. Routinely inspect all areas for hazards and other security related risks. Maintain records and produce documentation upon demand.
    • Coordinate with other departments to implement safety program and initiatives. Ensure safety training programs are implemented including online OSHA training for maintenance.
    • Responsible for Security operations including operational strategy and execution. Conduct use of force investigations.
    • Monitor social media, employee reports, and other communication channels for threats that exist or may come to exist. Communicate with Park management and Team Members on any Safety and/or Security known threats and develop plan of action to mitigate risk.
    • Maintain Public Safety departments' expense and labor budgets. Ensure departments are operating within outlined budget.
    • Monitor department Team Member Voice survey scores and assist in the development of initiatives to address areas of needed improvement.
    • Serve as Park Guest Service Ambassador and work to resolve all concerns brought to your attention.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    • At least 3 years' experience in management and/or supervisory experience in Risk Management, Public Safety, or Law Enforcement. Strong background in risk management and workplace safety preferred.
    • OSHA 30 certification is required.
    • Must be able to perform inspections, requiring climbing on high structures, ladders, and into confined spaces and have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to fifty pounds occasionally.
    • In-depth knowledge of Georgia and Cobb County ordinances and health & safety guidelines preferred.
    • Must possess strong organizational and planning skills. Must be able to multitask under high-pressure emergencies.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a team-oriented approach.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Must have a valid driver's license with minimal driving infractions.
    • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
