Performs facility maintenance activities at the University Airport as required for an FAA certificated airport; conducts airfield inspections and maintenance; conducts building inspections and maintenance; conducts airport grounds inspections and maintenance; assists with vehicle inspections and maintenance; assists with security and public safety functions; operates various construction equipment and vehicles; operates snow removal equipment pertaining to runways, taxiways, and airport grounds; assists with special events at the airport.
Additional Information: This position is on emergency call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
Minimum Education Requirement: HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent educ/exp
Experience: Required: Current valid driver's license; must be able to pass FAA required airport driver's test within 60 days of employment; Desired: Commercial Driver's License (CDL); AAAE Basic ASOS; familiarity with Federal Air Regulation Parts 36, 77, 14 CFR Part 139, and 150 series Advisory Circulars; working knowledge of general trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc)
The target hiring range for this job profile is $18.37 - $23.99. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
