The Fredericksburg Sheriff's Office is seeking candidates for a full-time Deputy in Training position. Responsibilities include securing the courthouse, serving civil processes, and managing prisoner transports and perform routine law enforcement tasks, once certified. Applicants must complete department training and graduate from the academy.

If you are hired, you will attend the April 2026 or July 2026 Law Enforcement Basic class at the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy. Testing for candidates can also form an eligibility list for future vacancies.
