    Are you ready to serve and protect a vibrant, growing community? The City of South Jordan is seeking a Full-Time Police Officer to join the South Jordan Police Department.

    What You'll Do:
    • Patrol all areas of South Jordan to deter crime and assist the public.
    • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, secure crime scenes, conduct investigations, and make arrests when laws are violated.
    • Enforce traffic laws, conduct DUI and accident investigations, and assist motorists.
    • Prepare and submit detailed reports and testify in court when required.
    • Serve legal documents and maintain records of legal dispositions.
    • Maintain issued equipment, including firearms and patrol vehicles.
    • Represent the department positively, through ongoing community policing efforts.
    Who You Are:
    • High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
    • Certified as a Special Function Officer (SFO), or currently enrolled in a certified academy.
    • Valid Utah Class D driver license.
    • Skilled in handling high-pressure situations with integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
    • Strong communicator with a commitment to responsible service.
