The Florida Department of Environmental Protections Division of State Lands serves as Floridas lead agency for environmental management and stewardship and acts as staff to the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida (Board of Trustees) (BOT). DSLs work goes far beyond land acquisition. DSL oversees more than 12 million acres of public lands across Florida, including lakes, rivers, and islands. These lands provide opportunities for residents and visitors to explore, connect with, and appreciate Floridas one-of-a-kind natural landscapes.
