  • Summary

    Security And Intelligence Career Field Position

    Lead a patrol team of three or more officers, including Department of Army Civilian Police (DACP), Military Police (MP) and Department of Army Security Guards (DASG).

    Provide direct oversight of all stages of investigations conductedby assigned DACP and MP personnel.

    Provide sworn testimony based on investigative findings.

    Reports team performance and training needs to leadership.

    Conduct various law enforcement training programs for military and civilian personnel on the installation.

    This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

    This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete the United States Army Civilian Police Academy program of instruction within one year.

    This position requires the incumbent to be proficient in the use of assigned firearms.

    This position requires certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid training.

    Incumbent must be able to successfully pass the National Incident Management System (NIMS) training requirements.

    This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

    This position will require the incumbent to pass the primary physical fitness/agility test (PAT) within 30 days of employment and an annual one thereafter.

    This position requires certification in the Individual Reliability Program (IRP) in accordance with Army Regulation 190-56.

    The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.

    This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment

    This position has been designated "Mission Essential".

    Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain and maintain a government motor vehicle operator's license.

    Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.

    This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.

    This position is subject to possible civil action due to improper exercises of authority or injudicious use of force in the apprehension or detention of individuals.

    Federal law requires removal of a federal law enforcement officers convicted of felonies after the law took effect on January 20, 2001.

    This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

    This position requires the incumbent to wear a uniform and /or protective clothing and equipment.

    Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
