Summary
Under immediate supervision, is responsible for performing patrol and security work at a City facility or related area. Exercises no supervision. This position is a temporary, "unclassified" position and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason. Work Location. Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center - 900 E Market, San Antonio, TX 78205 Work Schedule 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Hours are based on operational need, to include weekends and holidays. Essential Job Functions Patrols assigned areas to eliminate or report fire hazards, deter thefts, vandals, or violence. Takes necessary action to detain or prevent entry by unauthorized persons. Checks buildings, facilities and equipment fixtures and as necessary reports on conditions by often touring, moving about and observing.
