    Role Purpose Statement

    A SkyChefs dispatcher is responsible for overseeing the coordination of ground transportation and the efficient deployment of catering resources. The position manages driver scheduling, route planning, and real-time operational adjustments to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of catering services to aircraft. This role requires strong communication, precise logistical oversight, and the ability to resolve issues swiftly to support uninterrupted flight operations.

    Main Accountabilities

    • Schedule and dispatch catering deliveries to airlines according to established timelines and protocols.
    • Monitor delivery status and communicate with drivers, kitchen staff, and airline representatives to ensure timely and accurate service.
    • Utilize dispatch software (e.g., Ground Star, CBASE) and systems to track deliveries, manage schedules, and optimize routes.
    • Coordinate with the kitchen and operations teams to ensure all orders are prepared and ready for dispatch.
    • Address and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the delivery process.
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, schedules, and related communications.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standards.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with airline clients and internal teams.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or relevant supervisor.
    Knowledge, Skills and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics, transportation, or related fields is a plus.
    • Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field preferred.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements related to transportation and catering services.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
