    Job Description

    Court Based Treatment and Diversion is seeking a Clinician! The Clinician provides clinical, assessment, treatment planning and consultation services for individuals with mental illness, including those with co-occurring substance use and/or developmental disabilities. Works on site at the General District Court to assist the Court by providing assessment at or prior to the time of arraignment and treatment recommendations. Develops and maintains working relationships with individuals served, families and/or caregivers, other NRVCS programs, and other community agencies and resources as needed to ensure quality services. Provides all services with the intention of helping divert individuals to appropriate community treatment.

    Starting Salary: $50,400-Depending on Experience

    Education/Experience Required:

    • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or other licensed- eligible human services field is required.
    • State of Virginia License in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy is preferred.
    • License eligibility is required if not fully licensed and registration with the appropriate Board is required within three months of hire.
    • At least one year of clinical experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is preferred.
    • Experience working with court or criminal justice programs preferred.

    Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
