divh2Hotel Security Officer/h2pPerform hotel security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and the property as well as the propertys assets./ppAt InterContinental Hotels Resorts we want our guests to feel special, cosmopolitan and In the Know which means we need you to:/pulliBe charming by being approachable, having confidence and showing respect./liliStay in the moment by understanding and anticipating guests needs, being attentive and taking ownership of getting things done./liliMake it memorable by being knowledgeable, sharing stories and showing your style to create moments that make people feel special./li/ulpDuties and responsibilities include:/pulliPromote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments./liliAssist in training/educating employees on current safety and security issues to ensure compliance with all Company loss control policies and current security, and safety regulations./liliRespond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest related incidents, questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction./liliPerform daily inspection and ensure compliance of hotel security and safety requirements and procedures in order to protect hotel property, employees and guests against theft, crime, threats and safety hazards./li/ulpQualification and requirements include:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of security and safety experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience./liliAbility to carry, lift, push and/or pull items weighing up to 50-100 pounds./liliFrequently standing up and moving about the facility./liliFrequently handling objects and equipment to secure the facility./liliFrequently bending, stooping, and kneeling./liliCommunication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees./liliCertification in safety and training and/or licensed as a Security Officer or Law Enforcement Officer may be required./liliWorking knowledge of local laws, investigation methods, OSHA requirements and fire codes and life safety codes./liliProblem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used when an emergency situation occurs./liliReading and writing abilities are utilized in order to document or record all tasks completed, to order supplies, to receive their instructions for the day and/or to read safety and security procedures./liliMathematical skills, including basic math, are used occasionally./liliMay be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays./li/ulpWhat we offer:/ppWe give our people everything they need to succeed.
