    Principal Counsel (Aviation / ISR)

    Location: Greenville/Plano/Rockwall County/Waco, TX

    Type: FTE/Permanent

    Our client, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Principal Counsel to support its Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) sector. This role serves as a strategic legal advisor and business partner, supporting complex aviation and government contracting matters.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide legal counsel on contracts, compliance, and risk mitigation
    • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including aircraft purchase and MRO contracts
    • Support DoD and government contracting activities
    • Advise leadership on regulatory and legal risks
    • Manage dispute resolution and contract interpretation
    • Partner with supply chain teams to manage subcontractor risk
    • Ensure compliance with federal and international regulations
    Requirements
    • JD degree and active license to practice law
    • 10–15 years of relevant legal experience
    • Experience with:
      • Aircraft purchase agreements
      • Government / DoD contracts
      • Complex contract negotiation
    • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
    Preferred Skills
    • Defense / ISR sector experience
    • International contracting exposure
    • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
