About the Position
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at a public-facing facility in Copiague, NY. This part-time opportunity is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment while providing excellent customer service.
The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting both standing and patrol duties, monitoring facility activity, and assisting with maintaining a secure atmosphere for visitors, staff, and property.
Location: Copiague, NY
Position Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
Schedule
Friday: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Applicants must be dependable and willing to commute to the Copiague area.
Responsibilities
Maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility
Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols
Monitor visitor activity and report any unusual incidents or concerns
Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and patrons
Enforce site policies and procedures
Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
Respond appropriately to emergencies and security-related situations
Assist in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment
Qualifications
Valid New York State Security Guard License required
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Prior security experience preferred but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Professional appearance and demeanor
Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the Copiague area
Ability to work independently and remain attentive throughout the shift
