The role requires overseeing field technicians, meeting project milestones set by project managers, and ensuring high-quality installations in both new construction and retrofit scenarios.Essential FunctionsOnsite tasking of resources to meet project milestones established by the Project Manager.Installation of various access control devices and electrified door hardware.Installation and connection of access control panels, power supplies, and control equipment.Installation and programming of CCTV systems, both analogue and IP.Installation and programming of NVRs and VMS platforms.Installation of cable and pathway systems to support security systems.Leading a team of field technicians under the project manager.Maintaining installation deadlines and quality control.Accountability for crew members' daily time entries.Ensuring safety on the job site.Performing end‑user training.Participating in project commissioning and testing.Assisting with enforcement of documentation standards.Attending trade meetings at construction sites as needed.Minimum QualificationsCertification in at least two VMS systems.Certification in at least two access control systems.Minimum one year of experience in basic configuration of physical security systems.Training and certification from at least one camera manufacturer.OSHA-10 certificate.Minimum two years of experience as a field technician (or equivalent).Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check and drug test.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to lead and plan work days for a crew of two to four workers.Proficiency in low‑voltage principles (ohm's law, load calculations, metering).Effective communication with customer IT and facilities staff.Coordination with other trades.Proficiency in installing, terminating, and configuring IP camera technology, controller hardware, power supplies, door hardware, and credential technologies.Understanding of physical security system principles and the ability to apply that knowledge in the field.Physical DemandsThis position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.Work EnvironmentThis role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions, including outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
