ResponsibilitiesMonitors and controls pedestrian and vehicle traffic, enforces current policy and procedures, and assist in non-routing problems.Makes sanitation, safety, and security inspections of all buildings, building contents, grounds and vehicles and corrects or reports shortcomings or deficiencies.Supervises and verifies accuracy of scheduled visitors and functions to ensure only authorized personnel are permitted to enter complex.Ensures escorts are provided when necessary for emergency personnel or special groups or functions.Monitors inmate movement within the area.Remains thoroughly familiar with search, contraband, emergencies, escape & use of force policies as they may relate to the front gate.Be knowledgeable of the scanning logging and accountability of processing all visitors and staff through the front gate.Be knowledgeable of the procedures during Parole of visitors & inmates.Performs all marginal or related duties as Correctional Officer as required by supervisor.QualificationsU.S. Citizen.18 and over.High school diploma or GED.Valid driver's license.Tattoos: Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head.
