Correctional Officer 1 (CO2) – Washington Corrections CenterWashington Corrections Center (WCC) is located in Shelton, WA. The facility houses approximately 1,500 offenders and processes, tests, and classifies adult male felons sentenced to prison in Washington State.Salary InformationFull‑time: $6,046 – $6,512 (TEAMSTERS Range 45 Step J‑M)On‑call/Hourly: $34.75 – $37.43 (TEAMSTERS Range 45 Step J‑M)Full‑time: $6,200 – $7,013 (TEAMSTERS Range 48 Step H‑M)On‑call/Hourly: $35.63 – $40.30 (TEAMSTERS Range 48 Step H‑M)QualificationsOne year of experience as a Department of Corrections (DOC) Corrections and Custody Officer, including completion of the CORE Academy and the Correctional Officer Field Training Program.One year of experience as a Correctional Officer in adult or juvenile corrections with equivalent security functions to a DOC Corrections and Security Officer 2.Graduation from high school or GED.Valid driver's license.Legal right to carry a firearm.ResponsibilitiesCorrectional Officers provide safety and security, control, direct, and monitor activities and movement of incarcerated individuals.
